Book Review-In The Shadow of Denali By Tracie Peterson

In The Shadow of Denali

The Curry Hotel at the foot of Mount McKinley (Denali) has new employees, Cassidy and her father John Ivanoff.  John is the wilderness guide for wealthy tourists and Cassidy works as the cook’s assistant.

President and Mrs. Harding were to be guests at the Curry as they dedicated the new national park and drive the golden spike to complete the Alaskan Railroad.

Several years before John was the leader of an expedition to scale the Denali.  One of the business men didn’t return and John could never forgive himself.  He is haunted by what could have happened to Henry Brennan.

Allan Brennan comes to Curry to apprentice as an Alaska mountain guide and hopes that he can find the truth about his father’s death.  Henry Brennan’s business partner blames John for Henry’s death.

As Allan begins to unravel what really happened to his father, he and Cassidy become allies and friends.  They realize what happened puts them in great danger…but they will not give up until Cassidy’s father is cleared and Allan knows the truth.

MS Peterson writes another wonderful historical romance!  I was captured from the title and couldn’t put the book down until I finished the last page.  It is filled with mystery, twists and turns along with romance and lots of inspiration and forgiveness.  If you are a fan of Tracie Peterson, which I am, then you won’t want to miss this book.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this Book by the publisher, Bethany House, blogger program for review; however I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.
