Book Review-One Monday Prayer By T.K. Chapin

One Monday Prayer
Diamond Lake Series
Book 5
By:  T.K. Chapin

Mr. Chapin, thank you so much for this wonderful series and for providing me with the opportunity to read and review your wonder work.    With each book I read, I claim it is the best yet and…”One Monday Prayer” is the best yet.  They just keep getting better with each book!

In “One Monday Prayer” Angie is the main character and Serenah’s cousin.  Although it has been two years Angie, is still reeling from the loss of her husband and to top it off she is dealing with a fire in her apartment.  Serenah reaches out to her cousin and invites her to spend the holidays at the Inn on the Lake.

We are also reintroduced to Connor, Katie’s brother.  Angie and Connor’s meeting was meeting of chance.  Angie is fearful of flying and Connor, a perfect stranger helps her pray through her fear.  Little did she realize that Connor would re-enter her life and she would once again be dating and enjoying life.

This book is filled with real-life situations that show life definitely isn’t perfect, nor does it always go the way we planned.  However, it does show just how much God is in control of the past, present and future.  As Angie struggled with the guilt of enjoying dating again God put Emma in her path to show her that God didn’t expect her forget, her husband Ted’s memory, but that He gives us what we need when we need it if we are a willing recipient.  I was glad that Emma lived long enough to share her story with Angie.

This book is filled with romance, heart break, letting go of the past and embracing the future with the help of God to guide you.  I was hooked from page one and didn’t put it down until I finished the last page.  I highly recommend this series.  Mr. Chapin takes real-life situations that seems almost unsurmountable and shows through his writing how God can work them out.  All you need is prayer, faith and patience.  Although this is a series and it would be better to read them in order, you can easily catch up on the characters, however once you read this book, I can promise you…you will want to go back and read all of the series.
