Prim and proper Kirra Jacobs and bad-boy Reef McKenna had known each other since they were five years old and were at odds even then. None of that changed eventhough they are now grown and work search and rescue for Alaska’s Iditarod. However the chemistry between them currently is changing and they just might have to give up their old arguments.
Kirra’s uncle Frank Webb is threatened and his daughter is abducted. He is instructed to pull out of the Iditarod, but when he doesn’t show up at the check point on time, Kirra sneaks out in the middle of the night to track him, but Reef catches her before she can leave on her own. Without Reef and Kirra’s intervention, not only they, but thousands of others could lose their lives. Reef and Kirra must find her cousin and get to the finish-line before Uncle Frank.
Dani Pettrey does it again with another fast-paced, suspense-filled novel that will keep you turning the pages and sitting on the edge of your seat at the same time. I am sorry this is the last book in this series but am looking forward to MS Pettrey’s future novels. You do not need to read the whole Alaskan Courage series in order to understand this book, but once you have read it, you will want to go back and real all of them. I fell in love with the McKenna family from the very first book. This book is filled with suspense, forgiveness, second chances and even a little romance.
