1995 NYPD’s newest patrol officer, Karen Vail’s first day on the job finds her at the crime scene of a brutally murdered young woman.  Being new to the job, Karen is not sure what it all means.  The murder is unsolved and will weigh heavily on her for the next 20 years as the serial killer, kills again and again.  Karen’s life will take some unexpected twists and turns.  She becomes a top FBI profiler and hopes she will be able to solve the murder of the young woman and find the serial killer in what is now known as Hades.

This is a fast-paced novel filled with mystery, intrigue and suspense that will keep you turning the pages to the end and is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.  With each murder the case becomes more puzzling.  The plot was easy to follow and the sub-plots kept me guessing.

Although this is the sixth book in the Karen Vail series, you do not have to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one.  However you will WANT to read the others in the series, especially if you love, murder, mystery, suspense and intrigue.  This series definitely has it all.
