At age sixteen, unwed, single mom, Jessi Randal, had to grow up fast.  Years later she is still the gossip of Windfall Island and the last thing she wants for her son, Benji, and herself is to add to that gossip, so when Holden Abbot comes to the island to search for the missing Stanhope heir she does her best to not fall under the spell of this smooth talking southern gentleman.  But….Benji’s father also shows up hoping to rekindle the relationship he and Jessi once had.   Suddenly the gossip mill is at its peak because there is an attempted murder on Jessi’s business partner and friend.  Someone on Windfall Island doesn’t want the Stanhope heir discovered.

This was an entertaining easy to read book.  I was so captivated that I read the book in one setting.  The characters and plot made you want to be part of them.  I found myself cheerleading for Jessi and holding hope that she and Holden might find love and that she just might be the Stanhope Heir.  Those questions kept me turning the pages.  You too will find the answers to those questions as you read this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, mystery and intrigue.  Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed.
