Book Review -The Last Bride by Beverly Lewis

The Last Bride
By:  Beverly Lewis
Publisher:  Bethany House

Tessie Miller is the last of the sisters to marry.  She has been secretly seeing Marcus King because her father has picked someone else for her and didn't want her dating Marcus.  No one knows the reason for her father’s decision, but he also did the same thing to one of Tessie’s sisters.  Tessie and Marcus go into the English world and marry.  They return home living separate lives until tragedy strikes, leaving Tessie to make some very difficult decisions.

I have enjoyed all four of the previous “Home to Hickory Hollow” series and this fifth, “The Last Bride” is no exception.  MS. Lewis once again weaves her magic in writing a story about the Amish that holds your attention from the first to the last page.  I felt the characters were well developed and was filled with love, inspiration, and hope in the face of adversity, forgiveness and family.  If you enjoy Amish fiction this is another book you will not want to miss reading.  Although several of the characters are in the previous books in the series, you do not have to read them in order.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this eBook by the publisher, Bethany House, through NetGalley blogger program for review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.
