The unthinkable happened to Amish, Lindie Wise.  She was pregnant, not married and no one is sure of the circumstances of how she became pregnant, because Lindie isn’t saying what happened.  They are assuming the worst.   In order to save face, her brother arranges a marriage to Josiah Plank in Upper Peninsula Michigan, whose wife passed away, leaving him to care for his young daughter Hannah.  Although in the beginning their marriage is tentative, they find they have more to give each other than they previously thought.  Lindie was afraid that if Josiah found out the true circumstances of her pregnancy he would leave her.    As you turn each page of this wonderfully written book you will see the story of love, faith and hope unfold.
Ms. Reed does it again with a beautifully written book about circumstances that can happen to anyone, not just the Amish.  The inspiration in this book with leave you with a renewed spirit in knowing that God is in control of all situations if we only yield to His will.
I would highly recommend this book.  It is easy light reading and I didn’t want to put down until the last page all the while wishing it wouldn’t end.  I fell in love with each of the characters.
