Holly Fisher returned to Lancaster County PA after learning about the family her mother had kept from her.  She falls in love not only with her family but also the simplicity of the Amish life.  However she struggles to find peace with her mother for keeping her family a secret until she is grown.  .  All she has ever wanted is to have a husband, children and a family to love, but didn’t expect to be faced with choosing between three suitors.   Zachary Fleming, a Mennonite Veterinarian, has asked her to marry him, Armin King; a good looking Amish man is trying to win her heart and Larry an old friend from her “English” world shows up with an engagement ring.
Will she be able to give up the life of the “English” for the slower paced life in Lancaster County and be able to choose the husband she feels God has intended for her life mate?  Will she find it in her heart to have forgiveness for her mother?  The answers to these questions are revealed as you read the book.
I am in hopes there is a sequel to this book because it left me with some unanswered questions, such as what happened to Rascal?  What happened between Nathaniel and Esther, Holly’s mother?  Does Armin pick up and leave or does he settle down for good this time?
I enjoyed reading this book very much.  It was inspiring.
