Book Review--"Shattered" by Dani Pettrey

"Shattered" by Dani Pettrey

"Shattered" by Dani Pettrey is book two in the Alaskan Courage series published by Bethany House. In this book it is easy to become part of the lives of Landon Grainger and Piper McKenna.

I will not go into great detail of the particulars of the book, however briefly it is about a prodigal brother,
Reef, a sister, Piper, who is determined to clear her brother’s name and a deputy, Landon Grainger, who is in love with Piper and realizes once she makes up her mind to launch her own investigation into a murder in which her brother is accused, Deputy Grainger must do all he can to keep her safe.
Dani Pettrey has written a top-notch mystery set in the town of Yancey, Alaska. The return of the prodigal brother covered in blood, but not his had made him the number one suspect in a murder.  Piper teams up with Landon to solve this murder that will clear her brother. Of course the murderer doesn’t want this solved, so this thriller will keep you reading late into the night. Once you are hooked you won’t want to put the book down and will want to keep turning the pages to find out what will happen next as the struggle to find the murderer and romance unfolds.  Ms. Pettrey does a great job breathing life into her  characters that makes us want to be part of them, rooting for them each step of the way. "Shattered" was an easy book to read, with suspense and romance. One day I would like to go to Alaska because I have always been intrigued by what I have read.

Disclosure: I recieved a copy of this book by the publisher, Bethany House/Baker Publishing, through  Bethany House  blogger review program for review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my reveiw. This reveiw is my own opinion.
