Book Review-The House That Love Built by Beth Wiseman

The House That Love Built
by Beth Wiseman

The setting of this book is in the small town of Smithville, Texas.  Brooke Holloway is raising two young children, Meghan and Spencer on her own after husband’s death, who was her one true love.   Brooke is too busy raising her children and running the family hardware store to even think about dating until Owen Sanders comes to town and  buys an old house to restore that has a supposed mysterious secret. Brooke finds herself spending time with the new owner, wondering if God is giving her another chance at happiness.  Her daughter wants a new dad and her son doesn’t, so he spends a tail that has a would-be suitor wondering if Booke has mental issues.
Ms. Wiseman doesn’t disappoint the reader in this book.  She has created a completely believable story.  The characters are so real; you instantly become part of them.  I love how she shows that God can take a person with so many issues they feel like there is no hope in their life for change.  She brings to focus that with God in control He can help you face each situation and find the right solution for all those issues.  In this book Ms. Wiseman brought a group of miss matched people together and wove a story of love, forgiveness and compassion.  I would truly recommend this book because it speaks to your heart.  I love that there is no explicit language or sex scenes.  It is truly a remarkable book to read.
