The Last Christmas Cards

Yikes! I can't believe the amount of cards I have made and I don't need one of them...LOL.  I made so many last year, that I have a whole drawer full.  I'm not talking little craft drawer here...I'm talking dresser drawer full, packed, jammed!.  I probably wouldn't have to make another Christmas Card for 5 years, but I love making them.  I will have lots to choose from, thats for sure.  Anyway I made up my mind, after today's cards,  it is time to start working on those stocking stuffer gifts and last minutes things for when unexpected guests stop by, no more Christmas Cards, however I do have plenty that I have not posted yet so if they fit the challenges, out, they'll be posted!  Will also not be crafting as much as I now need to start working on addressing the cards I will be sending, decorating and beginning my baking.  Before  I know it, the big day will be here.  Thankfully most of my shopping is done, but I need to start wrapping and I also have to do my parents shopping yet.

Here is the last of my Christmas Cards (not all I have made)
This little Nativity is a favorite stamp.  I do love the meaning of Christmas and this portrays it perfectly.

O Christmas Tree

My next project was inspired by this little $1 box of candy that I found in Target in the Hot Spot isle.
I thought these would make great stocking fillers but I didn't want  to just wrap them or pop in the stockings plain, so I made a tall crayon  type box for them to fit into.
These would be great for the guys in your life because it is so hard to find little things for them.  What do you think?
From This.......
This one looks so masculine!  I forgot I had this pine stamp.  Bought it at a resale a few years back.
Perfect for making something for men.

Snowmen Friends

Of all the Christmas stamps, my first love is the Nativity and that is followed by snowmen and penguins.  I just love these little characters.
I only have one card today...I must be ill...LOL
Not really just no time for crafting.  Sorry for the poor quality photo.  Have you ever had one of those days, that you spend 45 minutes taking a picture of the same image and it doesn't look any better than the first one you took?  Well that is definitely what happened to this one.

Happy Thanksgiving

It doesn't matter if you live in the USA or somewhere else in the world.   I'd like to wish you ALL a very
Happy Thanksgiving

It doesn't have to be just a tradition here in the USA, everyone can take the time to reflect on things they are thankful for.
I have so many things to be thankful for, but first I am thankful for a loving, God, whom I strive daily to serve, I am thankful for my husband and for my family.  I am thankful for the blessings I receive each day from sun rising to air we breathe.  Sometimes the wonder of these blessings just overwhelm me. Simple things that I take for granted like those I just mentioned are truly things to be thankful for.    I am thankful for the wonderful memories of times past with my family, the memories we are currently making and those we will make in the future.
So this thanksgiving, no matter where you are or what your traditions might be, please take the time to reflect on things you are thankful for.  Give your hubby/wife, kids, parents, family and friends an extra kind word or if you are close enough, a big  hug.  Tell a military person or their family thanks for their sacrifices.

Thanksgiving Blessings To All

It's All Blue

I must be ill... I have nothing to talk about this evening.  Just my cards... Maybe that is a good thing, especially since my last few posts have been extra long.  I have only created two today since we were so busy celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends.  Way too much food... I'm stuffed.  I think I feel like the turkey....Totally stuffed.

Found this little reindeer in the $1.00 bin at Michaels a couple years ago.  Don't know why I haven't used it before now.  It is perfect for tags... Too cute.

Music And Festivities = Gifts

All of my creations today project music and gifts... As we celebrate birthdays we sing and we give we celebrate Christmas...we sing and we give gifts... At least my Miss V is hoping we give lots of gifts, especially since we will be celebrating her birthday on Thanksgiving.  She has asked that we not have Thanksgiving dinner at home again this year, but at the local restaurant so the Wait Staff will come and sing happy birthday to her.  That seems to be one of the highlights of her birthday.  Anyway all of my family....All 11 of us will making the trip to the local restaurant for our Thanksgiving festivities.  Since they are very family oriented it will be no problem to also celebrate our Miss V's birthday.  She has been reminding me that in 1 month after her birthday.....IT WILL BE CHRISTMAS...Don't you just love little ones?   I adore her... Can you tell?

My Miss V's favorite image is Tilda.  She loves everything about her.  I don't have very many stamps, so each year I am using the same stamps over and over again.  Thankfully she never seems to tire of the same images.

#100 Happy Birthday

It has been awhile since I did decoupage.  Actually I did this card last year, (but didn't post it), eventhough I love decoupage, I decided not to make anymore because here in the States these cards are very costly to mail.  Are they as costly elsewhere?  When I mailed my first one I thought it was an additional .20 because of bulk, plus the cost of postage.  I quickly found out that was an additional .20 per ounce plus postage.  OUCH!  It cost me almost 2.00 to mail a small 5.50 x 4.25 inch card.

Red & Green-gold or silver
I have used red, green and there is gold in the edges of my ribbon.

This card I made using Glimmer Mists and resist stamping for the star.
Not sure I like the results, but it's growing on me.
Yep, even the Wisemen were bringing gifts to the Christ Child!
one layer card

OMGosh!  Don't ya just love these stinkin little gift purses?  I am so hooked on these.  One 6x6 sheet of paper plus a few scraps makes them.... Way too cute.
I "borrowed" this idea from my dear friend Rita .  She also has the link for the tutorial.  Just the perfect size for a gift card with a couple small pieces of candy... Money fits well too... Big denominations take up very little space:) hint, hint.....
I have added a very small bottle of hand sanitizer and lip balm to mine as this is the season for those items.
You can easily fancy them up or dress them down as I have done.  If you want to see really, really
cute ones, be sure to visit Rita's Blog.  Don't forget to leave her a little love and check out her blog.  She has some fabulous inspiration...
How cool are these?

Create a project using this week's theme that features the use of Kraft cardstock
or products purchased from Kraft Outlet
(Since I just found them, I have not had time to shop,
but I do have Kraft paper so I used it to make my little purse)

When You Wish Upon A Star......

Sorry this is another looooooong post.  I  do  have lots of pictures of the pop up ornament  I am not good at picture taking, but I tried to show how this works.  I am so impressed with myself for putting this together, but then why wouldn't it be easy... I found this excellant tutorial over at.... Stamp With Tami Tami made it easy-peasy to follow.  I just love , love, love it... Can you tell?  Not only does it make an excellant Christmas decoration, but just think, if you were having a December wedding.. you could use these as favors with the name of the Happy couple on each end along with the date of the wedding... Shower favors or what about favors for each person at a Christmas Church Banquet?  What about given as a little gift, when meeting friends for lunch during the holidays?  Or add them to a package?  Oh my mind is spinning with the possibilities....LOL  I think I will decorate my tree with them this year!  LOL...!  I have stamped on mine, but you could use some of that pretty double-sided double sided paper. I think I have to go make another!

Doesn't look like much does it?
Pull the bead away from the card and watch it unfold.

Now that it is unfolded, pull the bead back against the card and.....
You now have a beautiful star ornament!

Now wasn't that easy??? LOL

Bunches...Bunches...Of Cards

Pull up your chair... Get a cup of coffee.  She's been at it again.  I don't know how I have found the time to do any crafting this week.  Actually I have made the cards/projects, but have not had time to post them and time's runnin' out...if I plan to enter them into any challenges.
First of all I want to apologize for my awful photos... Two reasons, my camera battery is going dead.  I forgot to buy one when I was out yesterday and my hands were shaking this morning.

This card below was really a challeng with these colors.  I thought they were unique and not a color comb that I would ever choose...WRONG...When I was putting away my summer clothes this past week..Lo and Behold... I found a blouse with these exact colors.  Too funny!

Eureka Moment = Over Abundance of Creations

Did you ever sit and worry about..."what if I mess it up card/creation"?  I was sitting here worrying about that, and suddenly I had a eureka moment....What does it matter if I mess it up?  It's mine and it's only paper, ink, and time.  I felt so much better after I came to that conclusion that I created a whole plethora of stuff:)  After reading this long post you might wish that I had never had a eureka moment.
My Miss V will be celebrating her birthday soon, so that is the reason
there is no photo.  I scrap all my pages to have them ready so when she has her party all I have to do
is print out my photos, crop and add them to my layouts.  This is done in very purple merri paper.  It looks pink in the photo....Honest it's purple!

My Miss V's birthday is fast approaching.  Not knowing what to get her this year, I have decided to make this box and fill each drawer full of folded money.  That way she can have a shopping trip to they toy store to buy what she wants...:)
