Challenges

I had a few hours and felt pretty good for a change and thought I would treat myself to some challenge blog hopping, however I am not sure it was a good thing. I have found several blogs that are limiting how you enter their challenges and that is fine. It is their challenge blog so they can do whatever they choose. I have said that to say to the challenges I have entered with these creations, first of all I enter challenges for the fun of it. (of course it's always fun if you do win). Secondly I do combine challenges, if this goes against your rules, feel free to delete my entry from the challenge.

FABULOUS STAMPS-SPOTLIGHTING HEART & SOUL RUBBER STAMPS

April 5 - April 11, 2010

All about Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Company

We are joyfully celebrating 12 years in the stamping family! Like many companies, we began with the love of a hobby and a desire to share it with the world!
Our Mission Statement:
To serve Him by serving you with unique and creative Christian stamp images; Excellent customer service; an “Angel Policy”; The promise that we will never sell or share our mailing list with anyone; And a satisfaction guaranteed return policy ☺
At Heart & Soul we truly believe that it’s possible to make a difference in someone’s life by sharing your time and talents with those around you- Maybe even an eternal difference by sharing God’s Word with them!
We gladly support K-Love Christian Radio, Shared Hope International and the American Cancer Society as good stewards of the blessings God has graciously allowed us! We appreciate your business!

With having read what Sue has written about her company I can certainly vouch for everything she has stated. It is a joy to work with her. Their service is excellent and prompt. I even made a mistake all mine, nothing to do with Heart & Soul. A few days later I received a correction. It wasn't even their fault. I was so overwhelmed to think that someone cared enough to make sure that things were completely right. Sue has several ways that you can purchase stamps so that it is right for your budget. She readily answers your questions, even my dumb ones, without making me feel like a ditz. Sue has generously sponsored this post with some wonderful stamps.

If you haven't tried Sue's stamps and are looking for the perfect verse or love scripture verses her stamps are a definitely "must have"

Please stop by and visit her store today at Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Company

***To be eligible for the stamps just leave a post below telling me that you have visited Sue’s website and what stamps you like most. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator on…..April 11th and posted to my blog on April 12 th by 9 AM (EST). Spread the word on your blog about my give away about Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Company

Anonymous posters are welcome, however to be eligible for the drawing you must leave a name and email address.

I have been in another world lately. I made these cards at least a month ago with having Easter in mind and truly meant to post these in time to give away for Easter. Well as you can see, I missed my own deadline. LOL... I had to scramble to change most of these (except one) from Easter to something else. So to make up for my "BAD" We will have not ONE but THREE lucky WINNERS this week. Now I didn't clear this with Sue, but she has been so agreeable to all my antics so far, so I'm sure it will be ok with her, if not I'm in BIG trouble.

I have made the following cards using the rubber stamps that will be given away. (Of course yours will be new)

This first card started out as Easter, but quickly changed it into a Sympathy card.

I colored the stained glass with Perfect Pearls and I wish you could see it in real life, the shimmer is so stunning. I have to admit Psalm 23 is computer generated, but only because I wanted to finish the card before I received my order. Way to impatient I am... LOL . The Psalm 23 that you will receive will be a stamp.

I didn't change this card from Easter theme, however it can be used for many things, Easter, Sympathy, Caring, Baptism... Loads of ideas.

The next 2 cards are cards I made are using verses only from Sue's collection.

PRIZE ONE

PRIZE TWO

PRIZE THREE

Dreary Rainy Day = Crafting!

Wow! I don't know where this week has gone. It can't be Friday already but unless my calendar is lieing it really IS! Here in Northern Ohio it is very cool this morning especially after having some record breaking warm temperatures this past week . While hubby was out and about yesterday, I thought I would make a couple cards. This is what I have made, however I am not sure that I like them.

This fits the challenge for:

Vees Sketch Pad/ # 28 sketch & a little stitching (I faux stitched around edges of card)

Delightful Sketches buttons & bling

Stamp challenges Stitching Faux or real (I faux stitched around edges of card)

Image is colored with copics and the image is from DZ Designs. Aged it using ink that has a pearlescent sheene to it. Sentiment is VAP Scrap, paper Basic Grey Green @ heart. Hero arts flower, buttons and ribbon from my stash. The stitching stamp is Cee D's

This fits the challenge for:

Cute Card Thursday Mono Mania

To be honest I don't remember where I got the image, but I love it. The papers are all scrap papers that were sitting on my desk that I had used in other projects.

A Thank You Challenge At Charisma

This week the challenge theme at Charisma Cardz is: Thank you It has been set by the lovely Joanne. I hope you all pop over and join in her challenge.
The top card is made using images from Hero arts and I can't remember who made the border punch. I did this card at a make n take. Loved the outcome.

Both of my cards were done using scraps of paper. I used the cuddlebug and sizzix embossing folders. On the bottom one I sanded the image to make it stand out. Used a prima flower that I sprayed with tattered angels glimmer mist. Added a pearl to the center and a thank you sentiment.

Way Out Of My Comfort Zone

While I was waiting for my Miss V to arrive this morning. I thought I would take a few minutes to finish this card that I started some time ago. It just didn't seem to want to go together. These colors are not colors that I would normally use together, however I had that scrap piece of designer paper sitting on my desk forever and wanted to use it up, so this is what came to me this morning.
I also found that it fit quite a few challenges this week....that is if I hurry and post.
One Stitch At A Time Anything Goes
Just Add Ink Anything - just add ink
Ai Factory Anything goes

I made this card using scrap papers, MS border punch, scraps of flowers and leaves left over from another project. I inked the edges of the flowers, Also used ink to stamp the sentiment which is from Heart and Soul Rubber stamp company. rick rack is by basic grey koshi, small piece I had left over from another project. Gems are Jesse James.

Spotlighting: The Stamps Of Life

Spotlighting: The Stamps Of Life

March 29 - April 4, 2010

Have you heard about these Stamps?

Here is a little about the creator/owner of these stamps and The Stamps Of Life

Stephanie Barnard began scrapbooking and rubber stamping in 1997 and became a professional designer two years later. Since then, her work has been published more than 400 times in magazines, books and company websites.
Her genuine love of photography, stamping and scrapbooking, combined with her experience, knowledge and infectious enthusiasm, has made Stephanie a sought-after teacher and demonstrator. She has appeared as a scrapbooking and craft expert on numerous television shows, taped four instructional DVDs, demonstrated scrapbooking products on QVC and taught classes at stores throughout Southern California. She also has taught locally and nationally at consumer shows, including Scrapbook Expos, Memories Expos and CKU.
Stephanie has worked for various manufacturers in the past and is now realizing her dream, owning her own company, utilizing her extensive talents in photography, product development, design, teaching and video production. Her instructional videos, in which she teaches techniques and projects utilizing stamps, appear on numerous websites.
When she's not working, Stephanie enjoys photography and rubber stamping and spending time with her husband, two daughters, cats and tortoises at their home in Southern California.

Sally’s thoughts:
I have been a fan of Stephanie Barnard long before she produced her own stamps. I have watched her on videos and have seen her work in magazines, but never had the nerve to contact her and let her know that I truly admired her work until lately. I have to tell you for as famous as she is, she is such a gracious person, I couldn’t believe that she personally answered my email. I have loved her stamps from the very first one she created. Her latest stamp set was right up my alley! Floral! Her stamps are made in the USA. As I watched her latest video clip I was truly amazed at the versatility of her stamps and how pliable they are. Although they have their own natural curves, they can easily be manipulated to fit your project. I love the crisp clear images these stamps produce. I am confident, once your try them you will return to her store for more!
Stephanie has graciously offered to sponsor my spotlight for this week. If you have never heard of The Stamps Of Life, it is a must visit website and I’m sure you will want to do a little shopping while you are there.
Here is my attempt at using her lastest stamp set “Thank you”. I have to say, I’m a little more than nervous to display my work. Stephanie, I hope I do your stamps proud. Of course there is one thing I have learned while watching Stephanie, she realizes we all have different styles of creation. Thank you so much for the opportunity to spotlight your company and for your generosity in sponsoring blogcandy to one very lucky winner this week.

What do you have to do in order to win? Check out Stephanie’s website, leave a message telling me what you like about it. Which stamps are your favorites and if you have known about them before now. Also spread the word about the spotlight on your blog. Easy Peasy… No strings! I can’t wait to read your posts.

At the end of this week's spotlight Stephanie will let the lucky winner CHOOSE the stamp of their choice from her store. Now you just can't beat that... getting to choose your own stampset! The only problem I can see with that is that you will want all of them. LOL

Me Time = A Few Challenges

Today was such a lazy-day. No one to run errands for, no babysitting. I should have been cleaning windows or house, but no umph to do so, so I made 2 cards instead. Sounds like a good trade-off to me. LOL Sorry about the lousey pictures, but I waited until the sun quit shinning to take them.

First card... I love this color combo of blue/grey with red. I think I made this card for me, since I have been so down in the dumps lately. The sentiment fits me to a "T"..

This card also fits a couple challenges:

ABC Challenge/ R is for Red

C Inspirations/ #54 no Stamped Image.. Sentiment Only

Crafty Creations Anything Goes

The sentiment is SU Refuge & Peace
Paper K& Co.
Punch - MS

The next card fit my "pink" mood. When I got it finished I found it fit the challenges for:
Stamp Something Pink Somethings
All Sorts No Design papers
Image: House Mouse

Friends Sentiment ???

Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol to blend

Ribbon from my stash

Animal Magic & Sad Farewell

It's Thursday...
Challenge Time at Charisma Cardz
Week 13 and my last as Design Team Member. I have had a fabulous time being on the team and have truly worked with the best of the best in DT mates.
Thanks for all your lovely spring creations last week. Stunning. I could tell you all were definitely ready for Spring!
This week Charisma Gal: Allsion has set the challenge theme:
Animal Magic.
Great challenge theme and I can't wait to see what you create.
It is with great sadness that this will be my last DT member challenge with Charisma Cardz. I have already stepped down from my other DT commitments and it was with much difficulty that I have stepped down from here. I have truly enjoyed my time with Charisma and the Ladies are fabulous to work with. They are so talented! Have you ever had the times in your life, that life just gets in the way? Well that is how it has been for me since last October, so I am taking some time to regroup. I will continue with my spotlight and hopefully a few challenges now and then. Please keep me in your thoughts and don't forget to stop by my blog every Monday morning to see who the next sponsor is of my spotlight freebie .
I have chosen to do a decoupage this week. I want to say this came from Norma, but I am not sure. I can't find the file I saved it to. My bad! This is one of my most favorite animal images of all times.
All of the papers came from my scrapbox. I have kept it very simple as I didn't want to take away from the image. I wish you could see this IRL! Stunning. Please make my last week the best ever with lots and lots of entries. You know you all love animals.
