Friday Funday Challenge Meets Friends

Cindy, over at Hearts Delight has begun her Friday Funday Challenges again. This week she has chosen "Friendship". There are no other requirements than, that. Such an easy challenge. I made this card sometime ago and wasn't sure that I liked it, but the more I look at it the more it grows on me so I thought I would enter it in her challenge.

The card itsself was cut on the cricut, wild card cartridge out of pale grape cardstock. Inked the edges but can't remember what ink I used or what stamp I used for the swirl. The image stamp was Studio G. I placed acetate over the opening and I also sprayed the image with Spray that I made using SU Frostwhite all purpose ink. (love that stuff)! Colored the image with copics added a dark purple flower from a cricut cartridge, a few gems and ended up with a very simple card.

Just A Little Teaser About Spotling Products

It has truly been so hard for me to keep a secret! I am soooooo excited about spotlighting these fabulous products and companies....and as Feburary 1st gets closer it is harder and harder for me to contain my excitment! You are going to LOVE IT.... Some lucky people out there are going to win some FABULOUS prizes... I can't wait to make someone very happy with these crafting supplies!
Who are the companies? What are the products? Well..............
I shouldn't say, but I will toss out a name or two.... or will I?..........
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
No, I guess you will just have to wait another few days!
I can promise you, YOU won't want to miss this!
A different product/company every Monday for the month of February & March.... and beyond!
Whoop....Whoop

Coming Soon......

What am I up to?
With the economy being as it is, seemingly worldwide, I have decided to spotlight companies and or products that I have used and found they definitely live up to their billing. I don’t know about you but I am so tired of buying things only to be so disappointed and end up tossing them out. Money in my home is a precious commodity as I am sure it is in yours and I am truly tired of wasting what precious little I have. That being said, there are really tried and true products available and I will be spotlighting some of those products and companies over the next few weeks. Several of these companies have been generous enough to sponsor me with a “give away” to one lucky person on the week of their spotlight. Each week you will be introduced to a company or product and be told how you can win a freebie. Does that sound like fun? I will do this on a weekly basis until I run out of product and sponsors.

If you are a company and would like to be spotlighted just contact me using the words: contact me under my profile. I will be happy to discuss the details with you.

White on White Week 4 At Charisma Cardz

Good Morning. Hope you are having a wonderful day and the sun is shining wherever you are.

Thank you so much for joining our challenge this past week at Charisma Cardz . Your Fruity creations were out of this world and some of them looked good enough to eat!
This week our lovely Allison has set a theme:
White on White
To me this is one of the most elegant cards to be made. It can be used for so many occassions.
I can't wait to see what you make.
Don't forget to visit the blogs of the FABULOUS DT listed in the right side-bar of my blog. The Eye-Candy is stunning.

For my card, I have chosen all white cardstock, embossed it in the cuddlebug. I used the EK Success border punch. The image is by Studo G, embossed with gold embossing powder. Don't you just love it? I used spellbinders to mount my image. The ribbon has just a hint of gold and it came from my stash. Loved creating this card. It took very little supplies, yet the outcome is so elegant.

I can't wait to visit your blog and see your creations, so what are you waiting for? Lets get busy! LOL. Be sure to stop by Charisma Cardz to get all the details (I always leave something out, so best to check the challenge blog) and to see the lovely sponser freebie that some lucky person will win. Good Luck!

Bandits & Candy Hearts

I just couldn't resist using my glimmer mists again to create another card. I really wish you could see the shimmer to this card, it is fabulous. I used candy apple red and ink pink to create the background and the over stamped it with burgundy. Wow! Totally stunning paper.
Heat treat cup, heart punch & heart stamp are all SU products -- Thanks Cindy! Ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is from Cutting Cafe.

I just love this little SU bandit. He is so adorable. Papers are Smitten, corner punch is picture perfect, Sentiment - SU, Ribbons stash. hearts from Cricut and run through the cuddlebug.

Tilda Goes Valentine

What would Valentine's Day be without at least one Tilda? My granddaughter made sure that I would make her a card using Tilda. I have used a Christmas image that has Christmas Cookies in her front pocket. I filled her pocket with little hearts that I punched out and glued in place. They were certainly fiddly, but well worth the effor. She is colored with copics. I punched out a white heart and then a glitter red and adhered it with foam tape on one side to give it dimension and to let me use it as a closure. Also used MS border heart punch Ribbon is from my stash. I don't remember where the houndstooth pink paper came from as it was out of my scrapbox. The other paper is Smitten by K&Co. Inside I have used a heart treat cup from Stampin Up and the heart punch from SU. The background paper is sprayed with Glimmer Mists and over stamped. (That's my favorite technique at the moment).

I think my Miss V will love getting a treat cup in her Valentine. LOL...

Not Your Normal Valentines

I thought I would see if my mojo would come back and all I can say is that it has come back but not in the usual way. It has wanted to create on it's own rather than for challenges, so this is what my mojo created. I had nothing to do with it. Honest!
The first card is done in blues. The paper is SU. Image - Inkadinkado, Ribbon & Charm - My Stash, Embossing Power - White Diamond, Judikins
It was actually a fun card to make and it goes to show Valentines don't have to be red or pink.

Next is one of my favorites. It is using the same image as above with the same embossing powder, but this time I have mounted it on copper merri paper and flocked paper from papermania, Prima flowers. Twine & brads from my stash, punch bunch leaf punch.

I'm Up To Something???

I can't say much about it right at the moment, but keep watching this blog. I am in hopes that by the 1st of Feb I can launch my new idea. I can tell you this much. It is NOT a new challenge blog, but you won't want to miss it. Right now I am ironing out all the details. Keep checking back for updates.

A Magnolia Thank You Meets Glimmer Mists

First of all let me appologize for the awful photo. No sunshine here in Northern Ohio and my Ott lights just don't seem to cut it! Best I can do for the moment.

This week was to make a card or something that says "Thank you" at Just Magnolia. Instead of usinging an image of Tilda or Edwin, I thought I would use these tulips, they are stunning. Wish you could see them IRL. Me thinks this might become my all-time favorite card! LOL

I have Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists that I use, but seldom say anything about them because my papers always seem to come out rumpled, however over the weekend, I was straightening up. (It is amazing what I found when I painted my room). Anyway I came across a little bitty craft iron and the light came one. Whilst my misted paper was damp, I ironed it and guess what? It was flat again. LOL...Talk about feeling stupid!

I misted plain white paper with Glimmer Mists, pink ink & candy apple red. Ironed it. Then stamped it with burgundy ink and a floral flourish from Paper inspirations. Stamped a heart from outlines rubber stamps, cut one section from that added white pearls to it , mounted my tulips, a bow and sentiment and the perfect card appeared. The sentiment is from stampin up along with the border punch. I attached the topper to very dark brown cardstock. Wish my camera would pick up all the glimmer and shimmer.

The Tilda That Almost Didn't Get Posted

I have had this card finished since Monday and just kept forgetting to take a picture and post it. I haven't had much time for crafting lately as my accountant thinks it is a good idea for me to work on my books. I don't know why...they aren't due until April. Of course he probably knows that I have not entered any data in my computer for the past year and figures it will take me that long to get it done. He's probably right. For someone who was johnny-on-the-spot when I was working, has certainly become lazy now. LOL. I hate book work. Anyhoo enough about that.
Here is my card for the Just Magnolia challenge, using Tilda and pleated paper.

Recipe:

Paper - SU, ribbon from my stash, lavender dots-Mark Richardsusa, MS border punch, cardstock, just scraps from my scrap pile. Image - Magnolia, Copic Markers.

Something New Week # 2

Good Thursday Morning!
Hope everyone is staying warm and well in this frigid weather!
It's Challenge Time again at Charisma Cardz
Your creations last week for Carly's color combo were spot-on fabulous! It's one of my very favorite color combos. Thank you for joining our challenge. Loved visiting your blogs.
This week the challenge has been set by DT member Leanne (who by the way doesn't suffer from the cold since she lives in Dubai) LOL.. She has chosen a theme:
USE ANYTHING NEW
So drag out those new stamps, papers, embellishments, etc. that you got for Christmas and get busy! I can't wait to see what you create this week.

Since it is a new year I decided to use a new calendar template and to make a match-box drawers under an easel card, which is all new to me. As some of you know I am folding-challenged so it was a little fiddly for me, but I stuck with it until it was finished!

Recipe

Paper K&Co., Decorative edge and swirls - cricut, flowers - Prima, pearls - Mark Richardsusa, beads - stash

We are also being sponsered by

BEE-CRAFTY

this week and I have chosen to use her new image "Fairy Angel Floating". She is so adorable, but I have not done her justice. This is the first time I have ever colored on vellum with copic markers and I don't really care for the outcome, so if any of you out in blogland have any suggestions----I'm all ears.

My Newly Painted Craft Room

Well my dear crafty bloggers I am truly embarrassed to post these pictures and I do hope that none of your craft spaces look like mine did. I don't have a clue how a person can put so much stuff in one small room. It's truly amazing. A lot of what you see was not all craft stuff, but that now has been banished from my space and only crafting supplies remain. It seems that my space seemed to be the "catch all" area for whatever anyone didn't know what to do with. It has taken me a week of working hard to get this room painted, organized and back together. I even managed to change my first ever light fixture. Was scared to death that I would knock myself on my backside, but obviously I turned off the right breaker. LOL While I was doing this I was in hopes that my mojo would return, but so far it hasn't. Must be the weather. LOL. For some reason I just can't seem to get warm and that is not like me at all. I am always warm!
BEFORE PAINT AND ORGANIZATION
SPILL OVER INTO THE LIVING ROOM

The Big reveal!
Tell me what you think. Will it stay this way???
Probably not once my mojo returns.

No Card Today But Still Crafty!

Before I post my pictures... Remeber....to be conisdered for my blog candy you have 2 things to complete. Without those you will not be entered in the draw. I am checking each blog.
See post below.

...............................................................................................................................................................................
I don't make New Years Resolutions, but this year I promised myself that I (who am afraid of color on my walls) would paint at least one of my walls a color other than Ivory or tan. The day after New Years I painted one wall in my family room "Frosty Pine". I have left the remaining 3 walls cream because I only have 1 light source in the room. I love it, but what do you think?
Since my mojo for crafting has seemingly gone "Walk About" I need to do some thing constructive! I have decided to paint this wall and clean my office and paint the walls in that room too! There may be no stopping me now with a can of paint!
From This

To This

Don't pay any attention to the decorations. I was trying to make up my mind what colors I wanted to use. LOL so their is a bunch of stuff just sitting there. LOL..
