Good Monday Morning To All Of You...
This Post will stay at the top, please scroll down for challenge posts
There will be no Spotlight this week, because the company that I was going to spotlight has not gotten their supplies to me. I like to have them in my grubby little hands before I post my spotlight. Don't worry though, I will sponsor this week's give away with a product of TAPE I like to use. I have been using this product since October last year and have really been putting this adhesive to the test.
What is this tape called?

I am not really sure. I have heard it called by many names.

A few of them are:

Super Adhesive Tape

Tearable Tape

Miracle Tape

When I purchased mine I ordered it under the name of Double-sided Super Adhesive Tape, but all the names could apply.

This tape comes in double-sided rolls ranging from 1/8 inch to 3/4 inch wide and all have a whopping 165 feet in length. It also comes sheets with (3) 6 x 10 double sided sheets in the package

It states it is virtually invisible when applied to your projects and works well with vellum. I have to say for the most part it is basically invisible, but since I have never found a tape that truly works well with vellum, being the skeptic that I am I had to put it to the test. This is what I found. Using it on dark carstock with very thin and very thick vellum you can still see the tape, so personsally wouldn't recommend it for that purpose, however on white card stock it is virtually invisible. I was pleased with the outcome of that.

A few of the things that I really like about this tape beside the fact that it is a roll of tape that just keeps "going, and going and going" (It's like the energizer bunny) is you don't have to use scissors. You can tear it to any length and if you tear it too long just fold it back on its self and it makes a nice smooth edge.

You can emboss with it, as it withstands heat very well and is high tac. (I have been using it on my cards and my scrapbooks which also means it is "acid free". Some of my other favorite ways to use it is with foils and gold leafing and for adhering ribbon.

Here I have used the 1/8 inch tape to make a glitter border . Love the affect. Of course I love glitter sooooo. Embossing works as well. If you are not a big fan of peel-offs but need an extra touch this might be the answer.

The next test I tried was putting it through my Cricut. I cut this very delicate scroll out of the sheets. I carefully pulled the backing off and gently applied it to the paper where I wanted it. Gently removed the top and of course added glitter. The sheets have a glossy side and a lesser glossy side. I used removable tape on my Cricut mat (as it is old and the adhesive is worn) to insure a good bond on the lesser glossy side. Set my speed to 4 and my pressure to 3. Beautifully cut. (You may have to work with your Cricut settings to get the proper pressure and speed). I have also cut dies with the cuddle bug. Works just as well.

The next thing I tried is Punches! Aren't these butterflies gorgeous?

All in all would I recommend this product? YES.. even with the downside of it showing through vellum and the fact that you have no dispenser and have to remove the backing from the tape, those are very small inconveniences for tape that preforms so well and the price is an exceptional value. How does it rank with redline (sticky strip)? It is not quite as strong, but preforms very well and it stands up well in comparison to Scor-pal tape.

Some lucky winner will recieve the tape shown above.

1 roll of 1/8 inch x 165 feet

and a package of (3) 6 x 10 sheets of double sided Super Adhesive Sheets.

You know what to do.... Leave me a comment telling me if you have used this tape and what you like about it or why you would like to give it a try if you haven't used it.

Good Luck

I do have some of this product on hand and if you would like to order some, please contact me using the email link in my side bar and I will give you prices and sizes. (Once I start feeling better, these will be added to my webstore. )
Addition to my post:
I have received several emails this morning asking me about prices of this tape.
1/8 inch wide x 165 feet $3.99 + postage ( 2 in stock)
1/4 inch wide x 165 feet $4.99 + postage (3 in stock)
3/8 inch wide by 165 feet $5.99 + postage (2 in stock)
6 x 10 Sheets 3 to a package $3.99 + postage (2 in stock)
Thanks for your inquery. As always postage is exactly what the post office charges me. I send 1st class unless you request priority.

The Elusive Card!

For some reason today, this card has been the most elusive one I have ever made. The thing went into hiding at least 3 times before I gave up counting. I wonder if that means some thing significant? Come on all you budding psychologists out there, what does that mean? LOL

Anyway I made this card for Cindy's Friday Funday Challenge. So love these challenges as you pretty much have carte blanche to use whatever, you just need to follow the guideline be it a sketch or theme. Love being able to use the images I want... Why don't you stop by and give her challenges a go. This week she has a fabulous sketch with a twist.

I fell in love with the stamp, that just happened to fall into my shopping cart last time I went shopping. It was a fabulous bargin. $3.00 for a 10.99 Stamp. Whoo Hoo... I just love bargins, especially when I know it is some thing I will use over and over again.

Image is Inkadinkadoo, Copic Markers, Cricut, CuttleBug baby folder,Ribbon and Glitter from my stash.

Birthdays With A Twist! Week 8

Good Morning!
Are you sure it's Thursday? I can't believe another week has gone by so quickly! Why doesn't Spring seem to arrive so quickly? LOL
Before getting into this week's Challenge at Charisma Cardz,
I would like to thank
all of you who took part in my sketch challege. Your take on my sketch was great and I hope you had fun with it.
This week's Challenge has been set by Charisma Gal... Kelly
She has chosen the theme: Birthday with a twist....It must have a candle on it.
I love this challenge, but have to say with all the dizziness I am experiencing my mojo has gone tipsy!
Got my replacement stamps from Hobby Lobby and had to ink up this little sweetie. You know I just had to make sure it stamps properly!

This card is made entirely from scraps in my scrapbox. Happy Birthday alpha's are from Creative Memories and I found a small candle sticker that I could use as the "i" in birthday. The corner punch is by Picture Perfect (one of my great bargins.. in the bargin bin for 2.00) Copic Markers and the image is house mouse.

The next card, I cut with my Cricut using the "Wild Card" cartridge. (You really need your sunglasses for this one). Paper is from Stampin UP, gems are odds and end from my scrapbox. Inked the edges of the cupcake liner, cut Happy Birthday with my cricut using a page of my double sided sticky tape and added glitter.

Be sure to visit the blogs of the Charisma Gals who are listed on my side bar. They have some fabulous eye-candy to view.

Be sure to stop by Charisma Cards
to get all the details.

So Thankful & Some Challenges

I have so much to be thankful for. I have actually been able to sit up for several hours this evening without getting sick from the dizziness. My ears are still roaring and ringing, but the pressure & swelling seems to have gone down considerably. Whooo Hoo. So what did I do?.... made some cards... Now I must confess that I didn't color all these images this evening. I had colored them some time ago, but never made them into cards.

The first card is made by double cuttlebugging! I used plain cream cardstock, Sizzix embossing folder and Nestabilities to achieve the double embossing. Image is Great Impressions, (Thanks Cathy, love this image). I have colored it with copics added some glamour dust to the watering can and topped it off with ribbon from my stash.

This fits the challenge for Cuttlebug Spot --Double embossing

Next up-- I made a scrapbook page of a picture taken for our 40th wedding anniversary. I have used paper from K&Co. Used a stamp from outlines to make the heart. Cut out layers, popped them up using foam tape, added pearls, gorgeous flowers Prima from Simon Says. On the Swirls I used all purpose ink - Champagne from SU... really makes them pop
I thought I would use this for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Their challenge was to make something vintage with flowers. Now you may not think my page is very vintage, however I think it is, but the two folks in the picture are definitely vintage. Just check out all that silver hair. LOL

Next card is an easel card. I have used papers from my scrapbox... Image is House Mouse which I have colored with copics, added glossy accents to the rain drops, ribbon and flowers from my stash. I colored the flowers with my copic markers to match my image. The tag is Magnolia

This fits the following challenges:

Magnolia Down Under

House Mouse -- Multifold card

Everybody Art -- easel card
Copic Creations --Use to color embellishments (I colored my flowers with copics)

Sorry about the dark picture in the next card. Sunlight didn't want to co-operate. LOL. This is the same image as used in the card above, but this time I have cut a sqare out in my card stock and placed a border around it using my punch from SU to create a frame. The green cardstock was embossed on the cuttlebug with a sizzix folder and then sanded. Added ribbon from my stash and a computer generated sentiment.

This fits the challenge for My Time To Craft

I had started these cards a few weeks ago, but couldn't sit up long enough to finish them. Well today I was able to sit up for about an hour and finished these 2 cards. They will fit a few challenges. First up is a tissue holder for a pocket package of tissue.
Fits the following Challenges.
Paper Cutz Get Well

Fits the following challenge:
Stamptacular Use as many circles as you can without being gaudy.

Sorry my photo is dark. Sunlight is not co-operating with me today.
I have made this card using the sketch from Friday Sketchers for Magnolia Down Under - There challenge was to us a Magnolia stamp, buttons, bows and flowers. A few Challenges

I thought I would try to post a couple cards that I made for a couple challenges . The first one is using a sketch from Vee's Sketch Pad # 25. Her challenge this week was NO image. I saw this color combo in a crafting magazine and really loved it, however now that I hav used the colors. I don't like them. Love the sketch, actually everything but the colors. LOL

Here is another card I have done: Like it much better...

The next card is for a challenge by Cindy, at Hearts Delight For her challenge you were to make a . You could use the traditional pinks and reds, but one other color had to be non-traditional. I hope my brown qualifies.

This card also fits the challenges for: Valentines There challenge is 3, 2, 1 Three of something (mine is hearts, 2 of somthing. Mine is a ribbon and a bow. They are separate and 1 of something. One sentiment.

It's Thursday - A Sketch Challenge At Charisma Cardz- Week 7

Good Morning!
Hope you all are warm and cozy. We have been experiencing a "deep freeze" this week. Hopefully things will start warming up soon and spring flowers will start popping up through the ground! Can you tell that I am ready for spring?

Fabulous entries this past week at Charisma Cardz for Tasha's "men cards"... So many great ideas out there. Thanks for joining in!

For this week, Week 7.. The challenge has been set by me, (Sally). I have chosen a simple sketch. As always just have fun with it. I have even taken liberties with my own sketch and left the sentiment off as I am not sure what I am using it for.

Be sure to stop by Charisma Cardz to get all the details and be sure to check out the blogs of my "teamies" which is listed in my side bar. Great eye-candy!

For my card I have used an image from See D's - French Fancy, copic markers, Basic Grey - Lime Ricky, Buttons-stash, Swirl -Cricut-Home Decor

Since the paper is is busy, I have kept it very simple. Can't wait to see what you make...

My Third Post Today -- Not A Wonky Bow In Sight!

Ammended Post
A few of my British Friends have asked what those round things are at the bottom of my post. The have told me they don't have baby showers.
I have posted under the photo what they are. LOL

I am so far behind with my posting and joining in challenges, however it isn't because I haven't been busy. Believe me. I have been up to my eye-balls in bows. All I can say is that I am truly thankful to the person who invented the Bow-Easy . After tying nearly 200 of these babies I was so happy to have something that kept them all the same size. Not a wonky one in the bunch! I was commissioned to make baby shower invitations and favors. This is what they chose out of all the samples that I sent. Of course these had to have the most bows in them. LOL.

All the little images were colored with copic spica glitter markers. Wish you could see them in real life. They are sooooo cute. I have all the invites and favors finished, but still have a couple more pages to do on the baby album that I have also been asked to make. Hopefully I will finish up today and they will be winging their way to the new owners by tomorrow afternoon!

Invitations 60 little diapers... I'm so glad they are all clean

These for my British friends are favors that each person attending gets to take home. They are tea candles glued to a lolly stick, with a lolly wrapper around them. I have tied that with white twine and also the little image that says welcome to our world and then glued a bow at the base. Nothing fancy. Just some thing to say, "Hey thanks for coming and helping the new mom welcome her baby". We ladies love baby showers... We've been known to spend major $$$ just putting on the "perfect" baby shower. LOL

Thank you so much for all the great comments!
I hope you are enjoying my spotlighting as much as I am!
Don't forget to check the post for this week's Spotlight. Another FABULOUS company and product!

I wanted to take the time to update the situation with Hobby Lobby. I received a very nice email this afternoon, stating that they were sorry for the problems that I encountered yesterday and they understand the situation with their policy. They are providing new stamps to me by next week and have apologized again for all that transpired.

I am really sorry that I had to complain, but I am so hoping that policy for them will change to accommodate those situations in which people do not live close by their store. If that happens then this lady will be one happy person for helping to make the change come about and I will, if they ever move into my area become a customer.

Thank you Casey at Crafts etc. (Hobby Lobby)! I truly appreciated your email today!

"Men Cards" Love To Hate Them! LOL

Good Thursday Morning To You!
I really don't know where this week has gone. I seem to have lost it somewhere in the mix of a funeral and being quite ill, but things are beginning to settle back down to normal in our household, what-ever normal is these days. LOL.
Your entries just keep getting better and better. The one's for Joanne's "I Love You" were no exception. FABULOUS! What a "Bumper Crop" of fabulous entries. Thanks for joining in.

Now onto this week... Be sure to stop over at Charisma Cardz Challenge for all the details as I am sure I have forgotten something. (don't know where my mind is these days). LOL

The theme has been set by DT member Tasha: She has chosen:

Now if you are like me that is a really hard card for me to make. I hate to make them, but this is such a fabulous challenge, because it makes me get outside my pink and sparkly comfort zone. I can't wait to see what you all make!

For my card I have chosen to use a Digi image called "Two Little Love Birds" from The Cutting Cafe. Hubby doesn't know it yet, but this is going to be his Valentine card. LOL.

Ammended: Read the bottom, it gets better.....I got a call from corporate!

I have to get this off my chest! Have you ever tried to get Hobby Lobby to correct a situation with inferior product? The nearest one to me is an hour's drive away one way, so I don't go often, I guess you could say I really don't go at all, but happened to be in the area around Christmas so stopped in to see what they had. I found two stamps by Stampabilites, house mouse series, that I fell in love with. Spent the 20.00 to purchase them. I didn't ink them up until mid-jan and to my dismay one is so bubbled on the rubber it won't stamp clearly and the other has a cut in it apparently from the knife when they cut the box open and the image is lifted in one area. Two worthless stamps. Since I paid cash I didn't bother to keep the receipts (remind me to do that from now on). I have emailed corporate 3 times and never received a response, so today I thought I would call the store where I purchased my stamps and explain that I live so far away that with the weather and all I hate to try to drive 2 hr round trip.

(By the way, they know the stamps are theres because they have craftetc on them which is hobby lobby). Not like I could have gotten them at Pat Catans of JoAnns with that on them..

At first the "gentleman" (I am using that term loosly and will refrain from using his actual name) told me he could replace
items/refund my money if I had the receipt and it was within the 60 day return policy. I explained that I didn't have the recipt, he said he would extend the return time?. He then told me he would be happy to issue store credit for a sale price if I would bring the stamps in. Again I told him about the distance, and he told me that he has people that drive from all over to his store and he can't control the distances that people drive to purchase from them. (still can't figure that one out, Is he only wanting local customers)? I asked if I could mail the stamps to him so he could see that they have not been used and the damage to them. That was not acceptable to him. We chatted on for a few minutes and I told him that I was truly unhappy with Hobby Lobby's customer service and that what he suggested is not agreeable and if I should ever be near a hobby lobby again that I WILL NOT stop in for a visit or purchase (now I might if I have to go potty and that is the only available). No purchases though! I told him what I understood him to tell me, then he said it wasn't true, he didn't say that. So in other words, my product is not inferior, they will replace it if I send it to them, they don't have a 60 return policy, and I don't have to show up in person with a receipt. Because what I heard was just the opposite to all of the stated above information. How would I have possibly have known that, had he not just told me. Is he also saying I am stupid and I can't hear? I don't see Hobby Lobby and me having a relationship in the future and as far as I am concerned, they can stay south of Cleveland. I am so happy to know they are doing so well in this economy they can afford to aleinate even one customer. Kudos for you Hobby Lobby to not need customers.

Well corporate customer service just returned my call... They stated what the previous "gentleman" said but they also said that if you have a problem with a product they are not set up to take care of the situation EXCEPT IN STORE ONLY! So crafters beware, because if you live in a state that doesn't have a Hobby Lobby and vacation in a state that does have one, make a purchase and find it to be defective upon returning home, you will have to GO to the nearest state that has a Hobby Lobby store to make the return... They make NO provisions for any exceptions... So says Customer Service at Hobby Lobby Corporate. Of course now you understand I only talked with Customer Service as there is NO ONE, according to them higher that I could speak with. Well there may not be....however I have spoken on my blog and although I have lost money and they have lost a potential customer should they ever locate to this area, then we have both learned a lesson. Make sure your product works before you leave the store. I would suggest stamping with your stamps. Open a stamp and have at it, just to make sure it works.

A Reason to Live By T. K. Chapin
