Funky Fairy Challenge 5 Swirls

For this weeks Funky Fairy Challenge 5 - Swirls I have chosen to make a folding album using papers from Cherish Part 2, Distressing Vines Vol 1 and Dots are Distressing Vol 1 The flowers were punched using punch bunch flower punches edges were curled with my fingers and then I added silicone to pop them up. Ribbon is from my stash. Swirls are from Sizzix, Flower pearl brad center, papermania, from my lovely friend, Bev and the silver center is from my stash. I love making these because there uses are endless. A couple things I like the make them for are baby or bridal showers, saving the full square to later add photos of the event, but having each guest sign the triangle areas front and back and leave messages for the mom to be or bride to be. It always creates a lot of fun. They can also be made longer than the one shown. Be sure to stop by and join in the fun. The challenges are great and the papers you can download to use are fantastic to print.

MS punch and balloons are punch bunch.

Stamp Something

Sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy Stamps- Pray Without Ceasing #1024.

Flowers Prima pink dots and pearls are Mark Richardsusa Charm and flower centers from my stash. I wish this picture would show just how pretty the pearls and dots are on the card.

WOJis having a DT call which is open until March 4th. Just for fun I thought I would enter this card. I enjoyed working with Michelle Celebrating Donkey from WOJ. I colored it with my copics, used Basic Grey Boxer series paper, balloon brads, square brads and ribbons from my stash. Happy Birthday sentiment is one that I have misplaced the name. Sorry! Wow! I can't believe that it is challenge number 4 at already. Where has the time gone. Be sure to stop over and see the lovely work of the rest of the design team and while you are at it. Join in the challenge. There is lots of free downloads on the Blog of Inspiration, for your use and the papers print beautifully on regular printer paper. No extra ink is needed to make it "better". I have tried printing both ways. We'd love to see what you make.

This week for my challenge I have chosen to use Paisley Love Vol 1 - Pink. Guess I am just a pink kind of girl, although I can't wear it. I have used black poke-a-dot ribbon from my stash and flowers from Michaels Bridal Table Confetti and flowers punched from scrap paper using a punch bunch punch. The leaves are punched using an old punch that I have laying around. No name on it. I also made a tag and a gift card holder to go with my milk carton. The "to" on my tag is from Stacy Stamps.

Ismaki Challenge

Third Posting Today

I found the sketch for this card at Ismaki. Fabulous sketch to work with but you also had to include buttons. Unfortunately I only had one that matched my work. Even if it is not enough I enjoyed working with the sketch.
I have used the Gladiolia image from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Company (They have lovely images, reasonably priced). I colored the image using my Copics, Swirl is sizzix, Sentiment is also from Heart and Soul. Paper is from Paper Pizazz, Friendship. Jelly Tots are from my friend Linda. Button from my stash.

Paper Take Weekly

Fell in love with the sketch from Paper Take Weekly. This week I made a very simple card using a rubber stamp from Hero Arts. I then added Prima flowers where the flowers would have been, but masked them off. Papers are from Prima First Blush and Chloe's Closet by Making Memories. Corner punch used is from SU. Centers of flowers are gems from my stash as well as the ribbon. Antiqued the edges of the paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink from Ranger. Thinking of you is a clear stamp that I have no idea who makes it. Image and sentiment stamped with Brilliance Dew Drop Hint of Pesto

Two More Challenges In One Card

Whew! I'm on a roll. No not really only 2 cards in almost a week. I don't think so... LOL My mojo has been taking a nap whilst my pain level is running rampent! Guess I can't have everything. Ah, now onto my card. Love this image by Penny Black. To be able to sleep like that without a care. Sorry I do digress at times.
Colored the image with prisma color pencils and Gamsol. Used downloadable papers from Funky Fairys and also the the alpha lettering from there. Highlighted the alpha's with my spica markers to give them a little glitz. It is a basically simple card but I loved how it turned out. I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and also have used the challenge from One Stop Craft Challenge using circles. Thought all those circles on the alpha's fit the challenge along with the center circle for the image.

Two Challenges In One Card

I may be too late to post my card to use for the A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge/, but... I used the sketch and loved it. Then Stamp Something was about valentines so I thought the hearts in Tilda's apron fit the bill. I thought I might send this card to my granddaughter.
The paper is a freebie download from Designer Digitals. Ribbon and little heart charm are from my stash. From the Heart Sentiment is WOJ and of course Tilda! I colored her using prisma color pencils and Gamsol. the flowers are Michaels Bridal Table Confetti and the centers are jelly tots from my friend Linda in England. I call them "bumps" and now I have her calling them that. I love those things. So easy to use and nice when you don't want a brad.

The wonderfully sweet Nicola at Nicolas Creations has left me some beautiful awards on her blog on Saturday. I don't know where the time has gone. I am so sorry for not posting them before now. I truly am honored that she would think enough of me to give me 4 awards at one time.

Now I would love to pass them on to my followers who do not yet have them. Please put them on your blog from me. You are so deserving of them too! I have visited all your blogs and I know that for a fact.

Card Positioning System Challenge

This is the first time I have made a card for this challenge. I love the sketch CPS has for their challenge and know that I will use it again and again. I have this old stamp of praying hands that is one of my tried and true favorites. I have no idea who it is made by other than it says Chesapeake, VA. It is so well used the rubber keeps peeling from the wood block and I keep glueing it back. LOL I think it might be time to look for a new one!
I loved making this card. It really spoke to my heart and just seemed to fall into place for me.
I have used background paper from Funky Fairy Paper Crafts. I printed the Lord's Prayer on regular card stock using Bible Script Font in lightened black. Then inked the whole thing with Jumbo Java Brilliance. On either side of the prayer I stamped a swirl with same ink. (I don't know the stamp name for the swirl, dumb me, didn't save the packaging). I stamped the praying hands onto acetate using Stazon Black adhered it over the prayer using brown brads from my stash. The ribbons are from my stash along with the gold angel charm and gold flower center. The flowers are prima, brights. I glittered the center brad which is also from my stash
