Tilda In Blue

I have had this card made since Friday evening and thought I had better get it uploaded because at the rate I am going that is not going to happen if I don't do it right now! LOL.
Loved making this card. Used the sketch from Just Magnolia

It also fits the challenges for:
Magnolia Down Under Christmas Decoration or Card
The Pink Elephant Color Me Wonderful, using your favorite coloring medium
Sophisticat Challenge Snowflakes & Sparkle
Sparkle Creations Christmas Cards
Kaboodledoodles Snowflakes
2 Red Bananas Christmas Cards
Stamp With Fun Christmas
Pollycraft Christmas
Poor Tilda is just frigid from all the cold. Makes me shiver just thinking about it.

This photo shows the white flocking I used and added angel dust to it for
the fur trim on her outfit. I just love how it looks

This image shows the snow where I have used angel dust and then went back and colored in the background using Frost White All purpose ink from SU. Love that stuff. Wish you could see the detail in real life. All that sparkle is gorgeous.
Papers: Winter Wonderland -- Dovecraft
Punch: Martha Stewart
Snowflake, tag & Frost White All Purpose Ink: SU
Silver Cord & brads: My stash

Miracle Tape

It has been touted as miracle tape, tearable tape, and the next red line tape. Now I don't know if I would go that far as to call it the next red line tape as that stuff is super strong, but I have been using this tape now for the last 2 1/2 months and I love it. The rolls come in a number of sizes and all of them have 165 feet which is 11 times more tape than a redline roll. It bonds permanently and is acid-free. It is the best deal I have found on tape for a fraction of the cost. It is so versitile can do embossing, glittering, beads, flocking and lots more. It also comes in sheets that you can emboss, glitter and punch, etc.

I have gotten some of these tapes in that I plan to put in my webstore, but have just not had the time, so I thought I would list them here. If you would like more information or prices please email me. My email is in the sidebard.

1/8in. x 165ft

1/4 in x165ft

3/8in x 165ft

and the sheets come in packages of 3 and measure 6 x 10 inches.

Wishing For Peace

I found this little angel in my stash of swap images so I have no idea who it is by, but I wanted to use it and thought what better time than now. My wish for this year is world-wide peace. I know that probably isn't possible, but at least we can strive to have peace in our hearts.

The card is very simple. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, copic markers, Michaels Bridal Table Confetti flowers, Mark Richardsusa Pearls, Ribbon from my stash and Sentiment by Recollections.

Heart's Delight is having a challenge this week to use no red or green or blue and white for Hanukkah. She is offering some SU as the prize. You'll truly want to enter.
This also fits the challenge at
Flourishes --Thank you or Christmas Cards
Paper Cutz Anything goes
Everybody Art Christmas
Creatalicious Christmas
Creative Card Crew Favorite things. I love angels (collect them) & flowers

I know yesterday was Thanksgiving and I should have posted then, but my heart was overflowing with Thanksgiving and I couldn't put into words what I wanted to say. God has been so wonderful to me and my family this year. I can't begin to tell you all the things He has done for us, but a couple that stands foremost in my mind is that HE let my mom recover from her stroke without suffering any bad side affects and HE provided a doctor who could finally diagnose the reason for all this excruciating pain that I was having. Yesterday, HE provided an answer to our prayer about my son and DIL's furnace. They had not had heat in their home except for a couple little heaters that hubby and I purchased for them since last Friday. The cost of a new motor was unblievely high and they could not afford one, much less afford having it put in. They were given a new motor and my DIL's brother, who is and HVAC journeyman put it in for them. Yesterday their home was all warm and toasty, thanks to the kindess of people who followed the leadership of God. I believe in prayer with all my heart. I know it works.

I am thankful for the freedoms we enjoy here in the USA and I am truly thankful for those on the battlefield fighting that we might continue to enjoy these freedoms.

Thank you to our service men and women.

I am also thankful for my family, friends and cyber friends. You all have gotten me through some tough times this year with your prayer and comments. I love you all.

Thanksgiving Blessings to all of you.

Friday Sketchers & Sarah Kay

I just whipped up this card using the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I had colored this image eons ago and then never used it. Also have had the papers forever, which is Deja Views, fresh print plumb. Flowers are Michaels Bridal Table confetti, Pearls Mark Richardsusa, copics! One quick complete card.

A Christmas Story For Miss V

Happy Thanksgiving
to everyone!
Wowzers! Hard to believe that in just a little over another month and we will be ringing in a new year. Where has the time gone?

Thank you all who took part in our challenge this past week. Your cards were stunning!

Since it's Thursday, that means we have a new challenge at Charisma Cards.
The theme this week has been set by "ME"!
I have chosen:
Anything Christmas!
Anything goes, card, ornament, book, altered get the idea and as always HAVE FUN! If you haven't started your cards, this would be a great time to do so.

Hurry on over to Charisma Cardz to get all the details and see who our fabulous sponser will be this week!

Every year I try to make something special for my granddaughter whom I call Miss V.

Laminated Version Front

This year I chose to make a book out of story that I wrote for her using Tilda as her friend and to illustrate the book. I can't write worth anything, but Miss V doesn't care, she just loves the books and stories that have her name in them. LOL... There are a lot of pictures so just sit back and enjoy. All of the Tilda images are Magnolia, but not all the accessory images are Magnolia, the paper is Basic Grey and the story line is mine. Yep I claim credit for the bad writing. LOL. The first picture is the front of the book that I will mail to Miss V. It is not the original as I will keep that one . I have re-created the book and laminated it so it will stand up under abuse. I has been put together with red rings and ribbons from my stash. All the rest of the pictures are taken from the original so not to have the glare from the lamination.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU LOVELY CRAFTERS WHO SWAPPED IMAGES WITH ME SO I WOULD HAVE ENOUGH TILDA'S TO COMPLETE MY BOOK! You know who you are and I couldn't have done it without your help! Thanks so much.

4 Season Desk Calendars - Just In Time For 2010

I was asked to make a few of these for gifts and thought
I would add a few of them to my website for sale.
In The meantime I found that this fit the challenge this week for Secret Crafters this week which it to make a calendar. Now how cool is that!
These make fabulous gifts. They are a 4-sided desk calendar, featuring the 4 seasons. When Winter & Spring are finished just untie the ribbon, flip the inside of the card to the outside and your have Summer & Fall. Retie the ribbon and your all set. Each side has a 3-month calendar corresponding with the season.

Just A Bit Of Gold

It's Thursday!
Time for another Challenge #46 from Charisma Cardz. I hope you enjoy these challenges as much as I do. As a DT member I have so much fun creating my projects each week.

Thanks to all of you who joined in our challenge this past week for Merry & Bright. Your creations were marvelous!

This week our challenge has been set by DT member, Joanne, who has provided us with a fantastic sketch this week. Be sure to hurry on over to Charisma Cardz to get the sketch, all the details and to see all about our fabulous sponser this week!

I CASED this idea from someone's blog awhile back when I was blog hopping, but can't for the life of me remember who it was. Anyway whomever you were thank you!
I chose to do an all white card with just a hit of gold. All the elements of Joanne's sketch are there, you just have to look hard because they are all the same color.
I used the cuttlebug embossing folder with the ornaments on it. Also used Martha Stewart border punch, and a spell binders pendant. The image is CDee's and is embossed with enchanted gold embossing powder. Pearls are from Mark Richardsusa. Ribbon is from my stash and the bow has been tied with the Bow-Easy!

Tilda Goes Traditional

My second post and second challenge card of the day! Sorry about the bad photo. My hands seem to be shaky today for some reason, so this is as good as it gets. LOL I thought I would color Tilda in the traditional red and green colors to see how it turned out. Not bad! Thought I would enter it in the challenge at Just Magnolia this week.
I have no idea who the designer paper is by, it was in my scrap box, buttons and ribbon from my stash, Image - Magnolia, Sentiment - Recollections, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

Finally A Challenge! WOJ #55

There are two things I have wanted to do for the last couple weeks, but with the never ending zoo at the Jones household it has been impossible to do either one of them until now. I wanted to make a challenge card and use this template. Now I have done them both. Whooo Hooo.

I love making Christmas Cards with non-traditional colors and this image lends itsself to just that kind of challenge. She is so versitile.

Anyway this week at WOJ their challenge is to use brown, orange and ivory.
I used brown, orange and ivory cardstock. Designer paper from Basic Grey - Indian summer, gems from my stash, flowers Michaels Bridal Table Confetti (which can be found here), Swirl from cricut. glitter on her dress from sparkle and sprinkle (I am so into glitter this year) . I am not sure, but I think the sentiment is a rubbernecker stamp. ?? Image is colored with copics.

Merry & Bright With Lots of Glitz!

Good Morning!
It's Thursday and hard to believe that it is almost mid-month! Where is November going? So much to do and so little time. I did manage to get 3 Christmas gifts bought this past week. Whoo Hoo! I think for 2010 I am going to start in January and maybe I will be ready and have enough time to enjoy the holidays.

With it being Thursday, that means it is time for another challenge at Charisma Cardz! A great one this week.

Thank you all for joining in our challenge this past week using Leanne's fabulous sketch. Your creations were wonderful. Loved your take on her sketch.

On to this week's challenge which as been set by DT member Vee.
She has chosen the theme:
Merry & Bright!
How fun, now you can bring out all the Christmas glitz and glitter. Hurry on over to Charisma Cardz to get all the details. Our sponser this week is Your Next Stamp

For my first card I used a digi image from Your Next Stamp . I chose to use all glitter in this first card. I brought out my stickles out and went to town and I love how it looks. No designer paper and I used traditional Christmas colors. The red paper was sprayed with Glimmer Mists...Marshmallow. I love that stuff. You can't see the sheen in the photo, but it's fabulous! Used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and ribbon from my stash.

This next card was an image that I received in a swap so I don't know who made the image or where it came from. Sorry. It is colored with copics and then I put glossy accents over all of it to make it shinny. The designer papers were in my scrap box. The glittery mat paper is made using embossing powder from Sparkle n Sprinkle . I mixed several colors together. I covered the paper with versamark, then sprinkled on my embossing powder. After embossing it I covered that with versamark and then added clear Ultra Thick Embossing Powder and heat embossed that. Love how it turned out. Sparkle n Sprinkle has some wonder embossing powders and glitters. They really emboss well. I added ribbon from my stash, holly leaves from punch bunch punch. Sentiment is from Imaginisce which I embossed with red embossing powder. Pearls are from Mark Richardsusa , which can be found at Sally's Cards N Things

Sneaky Peek Making Hand Made Cards

For all you dog and cat lovers out there, this kit will be an absolute "must have" to get all the details and to sign up for Making Hand Made Cards FREE newsletter be sure to hurry on over and sign up for it at:
This first card didn't turn out exactly the way I planned it in my mind. However I posted it anyway to showcase the papers and images, but also thought someone else might case the idea and do a much better job of it. I never throw away any of those little plastic bubble packings that items come in so that is what my globe/shaker card is made from. LOL My family calls me a pack rat, but you never know when you might need one of those. I call it recycling at its best.

I just fell in love with this decoupage image. I knew immediately when I saw it that I was making a window card. I can just see him looking out the window looking for Santa and dreaming of all those doggie bones he is going to get for Christmas. I added white flocking and glitter to his hat. These were delightful to work with.

Weather Says Winter - My Card Says Summer

Well November has finally arrived and we at the Jones household are planning all the festitivities of the month... There are just a few. First off is Miss V's 5th birthday. Had to believe that plump little 7lb bundle that arrived in our lives on Thanksgiving Day 2002 is going to be 5! Where has the time gone? She has brought so much joy to our lives. Next would be family Thanksgiving celebrations and tons of eating with both of our families. LOL. Love this time of year, turkey with all the trimmings, pumpkin and pecan pie, sweet potato casserole....enough of that, my mouth is watering and I can feel the pounds being added to my butt just thinking about it and it is weeks away! Last but not least we will be celebrating my parents 63rd anniversary! I am so blessed to still have them in my life. Sorry I did digress...didn't I?

On to the challenge business at Charisma Cardz
